Saturday, October 8 was a beautiful day to imagine life as we gathered at Liberty Women’s Clinic for our annual Walk for Life. The number of walkers in 2011 doubled from 2010 with 147 walking either that day or at another location/time. Eighteen churches were represented. We are so appreciative for the efforts of all our walkers as we raised over $14,000 on behalf of life. We want to acknowledge our Walk Team who successfully orchestrated the event – Gloria Scheib, Joan Guy, Mendy Shriver, Miriam Spencer, and Nancy Brewer. We also want to thank our church liaisons for gathering walkers; Mike Brewer for serving as DJ; Chris Binkley for video production; Marjorie Townley for photography; and the many volunteers who helped the event be successful. Congratulations to Liberty Christian Fellowship for having raised the most walkers and funds and to the St. James Catholic Church walkers for being the top Walker.
