Client Story
A letter from a client...
sent to one of our nurses, Missy Adams.

Missy,

My name is *Catherine and I met you back in November of 2016 when I found out I was pregnant.  I wanted to take a minute to thank you for everything you did.  I was conflicted and unsure when I met with you and I remember crying in the room while we talked about my "options".

I'm proud to let you know that I delivered a beautiful baby boy 3 weeks ago!  The day I met with you, you prayed with me and reassured me that I had what it takes to be a good mother.  I aim to do just that and recently graduated with my bachelor's degree and have a job in *Kansas City.

I know this may be unexpected and out of the norm but I had to let you know how much of an impact you had on my life that day and that my son is nothing short of a miracle who I can't imagine my life without.

                                                                                                       Thank you again,
                                                                                                          Catherine

What did you like about LWC?

They were very willing to take me in as a walk-in.  I'm so glad I came here instead of going somewhere else!

Volunteer Spotlight

Read Jane Newberry's story...

When I retired in 2002, I knew I wanted to give some of my time as a volunteer. In January 2003, our local newspaper had an article about a Pregnancy Center in Liberty. I felt that was the place for me. In the fall, we were trained and started helping meet clients and doing various office responsibilities. Greeting the clients as they came through our door was the most important...making them feel welcome and loved. We didn’t judge them for the situation they were in. We always prayed for our clients at the beginning of the day, asking God to help us with whatever He had for us that day.  Volunteers were limited, so we did various office duties. I have done most of the duties at the clinic and have trained other volunteers as they came onboard.  I still remember well, the young girl who called in crying saying she wanted an abortion. With God’s help, I encouraged her to come and speak with us at the clinic. Nancy Brewer and I had to stay late, so she could bring her boyfriend. When she left that day, she no longer wanted an abortion…. she was picking out baby names!
As time went by, Carol saw the need for each volunteer to have a dedicated job responsibility. Mine turned out to be purchasing the needed supplies. I’m a big bargain hunter, so I shopped for the clinic as though I were spending my own money. And I still do.
I have watched the clinic grow so much. We kept advancing in the services we provided….and we were bursting at the seams! At one point, we had two staff members working elbow to elbow. Literally.  Now, God has provided a beautiful facility for us to serve our clients in.  I have been here 14 years, and it has been wonderful watching the clinic grow and meeting so many new people who love the Lord and His cause.
